Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church, California City, CA on July 10 for 
Jerry Allen Owen, 43, who passed away in a Los Angeles hospital on July  6, 1999
Jerry was born in Los Angeles to his  parents Willis and Eunice Owen on April 
27, 1956. He was employed for a period of 15 years in the movie industry in film 
developing. He had a variety of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed working on 
cars, fishing and cooking.  He also loved working in the yard. He was a 
"newcomer" to the area having moved to Kern County 4 years ago.
Jerry is survived by his sons Ryan Owen, Gregory Lucero and Shawn Monies; 
brothers Paul Owen of California City, CA, Wallace Owen of Whittier, CA and Eugene 
Owen of Los Angeles, Ca; and his girlfriend, Terry Lucero.
Rev. Michael Loehrer officiated at the service. Interment was held on July 12, 1999, at 
California City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Wood Family Funeral Services-
