Source Unknown; 11 Aug 1938 Said to have been despondent because of his inabiliity to find work, George Papenburgh, 34-, committed suicide in his room at a Tehachapi Hotel where he had lived several years and his body was discovered Sunday, the tragedy said to have occured two days before. Unmarried the young man is survived by his mother and four sisters in New York and a brother John of Tehachapi. He was a former member of the U. S. Coast Guard service.
