Longtime Mojave resident Frank S. Parker, who turned 90 on July 5, died Saturday, July 28, 2001 in 
Garden Grove, California.
Mr. Parker was born July 5, 1911 in Assonett, Massachusetts, and enjoyed the mountains and streams 
in the Southern California area. His wife of 25 years, Mary J. Parker, preceded him in death on February 
27, 1988.
He is survived by his daughter Jan Parker Soares and son Frank S. Parker Jr., four grandchildren, 
Joseph P. Soares, Jay P Soares, Marissa Parker, Brent Parker and four great grandchildren, his sisters 
Beatrice DeArmond and Brittle Yaw and his brother Karlton Parker.
Funeral memorials were held Monday, July 30 by his sister Bea DeArmond, in the Hobby City 
Rose Garden in Anaheim, California and Wednesday, August 1, at Stickel Mortuary in Mojave, 
California. Interment followed at East Kern Cemetery, Mojave.
Pallbearers were Joseph P. Soares, Jay P. Soares, Bob Byers Jr., Frank Yaw, Martin Yaw and Nick 
Yaw
