Marilyn (Mae) Grace Brown Parker was born to Earl and "Polly" Brown on July 28, 1925, in Stratford, N.H. She grew up on the family farm with her nine sisters and brothers, and graduated from high school with valedictorian honors. Marilyn married Curtis C. Parker, a WWII Merchant Seaman, in June 1944. Her children Sharon (Parker) Taylor (now of Dallas, OR) was born in 1945, and Philip Parker (now of Mojave, CA) was born in 1947. The family moved to Battle Creek, MI, where they lived for several years, then to Seal Beach, CA in 1955. Daughter Mary Parker, (now of Seattle, WA) was born in 1959. After raising their family, Curt and Mae moved to Mojave, CA, then to Tehachapi, CA. They spent the next several years dredging for gold in Alaska and on the American River in California. Curt died in 1992, and Marilyn moved to Dallas, Oregon. In addition to Sharon, Phil and Mary, Marilyn is survived by Phil's wife, Connie, an adored "third daughter," four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother Harry and sister Ruth of New Hampshire, three sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends. Her great-grandson, Chance Curtis Taylor, died in 1998. Marilyn's family was her life's work. Her death leaves a void in the hearts of everyone who know and loved her.
