Source Unknown; Date Unknown Barbara was born on March 24, 1920 in the small town of Mullenville, Kansas, which was founded in 1884 by her grandfather, Heram Brown. Barbara graduated from high school with honors and went on to complete her nursing degree at St. Andrews in Dodge City, Kansas. She served during WWII as a Navy nurse. She married Norman Pear in 1944. They lived in Mojave, California since 1965. She is survived by her children, Norma, Tom, Paula, Jan and Anne;her brother Jack Snyder of Alice, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband Norman predeceased her in 1997. She was also preceeded in death by a grandchild Bradye White. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to your local homeless shelter. MOJAVE — Graveside services were held Thursday at Mojave Cemetery for Barbara Jean Snyder Pear, who passed away Tuesday in Bakersfield. Mrs. Pear and her husband Norman, who preceded her in death in 1997, moved to Mojave in 1965. She was born March 24, 1920 in Mullinville, Kansas. A registered nurse, she served as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and during her life was a teacher, church elder, mother, wife and grandmother. Mrs. Pear is survived by a brother, Jack Snyder, of Alice Texas; son Tom of Mojave, daughters Norma, Paula, Jan and Alice and 10 grandchildren. Services were conducted by Rev.
