Mojave Desert News; April 22, 2004 April 12, 1942 —April13, 2004 A memorial service was held on Friday, April 16,2004 at the Wood Family Funeral Service Chapel for Edna Kathleen Pegram, 62, who passed away in California City, California on April 13,2004. Edna was born on April 12, 1942, in Springfield, Illinois to parents Russell and Constance Sutton. She was raised in Orange County, graduating from high school there. Thirty years ago, Edna settled in California City to raise her young family. She enjoyed being a home-maker and was devoted to her children. For the last 15 years, she was employed by K-Mart, first in Mojave, then in Tehachapi before her retirement 3 years ago due to illness. She loved flowers and had a special interest in hand-painting pots to grow them in. She thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds from her window. Edna is survived by her sons, Robert Hosack of California City, Joseph Hosack and his wife Luz, of Camarillo, California, Bill Hosack and his wife Jamin, of Valley Center and Roy Pegram and his wife Betty of California City; daughter, Juanita St. Hilaire and her husband Michel of Lake Los Angeles; grandchildren, Phillip, Tasha, Stephanie, Robbie, Michael, Kristen, Brittany, Eric and Brianna; mother Constance Sutton, of Hemet, sister Elizabeth Keater of Riverside, brothers, Russell Sutton of Salem, Oregon and Archie Sutton of Como, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Reverend Bruce E. Perry officiated at the service. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
