Dec. 13, 1912 – Dec. 5, 2004
Born in McLain, Okla. to Barney and Mary Kaiser, 
Jessie Plott passed away Dec. 5 at the home of 
her daughter.
Jessie was preceded in death by her daughter, 
Sue Nell Luna, and is survived by daughters, 
Lavon Samarin, Shirley Moore and husband Ken, 
Geraldine (Pearl) Johnson and husband J.J., Rita 
Rowland and husband Rudy; sons, Orval Dixon, 
Daymond Dixon and Doyle Dixon and wife 
Peggy; and their children, grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren.
Jessie was a product of the late Dust Bowl era, 
living in Arvin for 65 years, moving to Tehachapi 
the last four years of her life.
Jessie was devoted to her children and 
grandchildren. She knew the old skills of 
canning, knitting, crocheting, soapmaking and 
quilting. She picked cotton and worked in the 
sheds in Arvin.
She will be greatly missed by those who loved 
her.
