Source Unknown; Date Unknown Aug. 31, 1926 – Nov. 9, 2004 John Joe Plowman, 78, passed away Nov. 9 at the Pleasant Care Convalescent Hospital in Bakersfield. Born in Anthony, N.M. on Aug. 31, 1926, to Jesse and Josie Plowman, Joe moved to the Anaheim area at an early age. He served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1970, retiring as a master sergeant. While he was in the service, Joe was active in several theatre groups. He thoroughly enjoyed acting. Joe moved to Tehachapi after his retirement from the military, working at Joshua Memorial Park, Cal- Portland Cement Company and as a flight instrument technician for Flight Systems in Mojave. He was also employed for many years as a bartender at CJ's Tavern in Tehachapi. Joe was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Tehachapi Lodge #1678. Joe is survived by his nephew, John Wilson; sister, Marjorie Petersen; and sons, Jesse and Justin Plowman. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the cremation arrangements.
