Daniel R. Prather Passes Away
Daniel Ray Prather, age 63 of Boron passed away on August 31, 1953 in the 
Mojave Hospital after a short illness. He succumbed to a heart attack.	
He was born October 27, 1889 in Bridlevale, Oregon. Details of his, life before he 
came to Boron, are not available but he had worked for the PCB mines sine 1946.
Mr. Prather is survived by his wife, Viola H. Prather and four sons, Lewis W. of 
Jerome, Idaho; and Wylie A., Raymond K. and Arthel H. Prather of Boise, Idaho.
Two daughters, Mrs. Lavonia Syurget of East Pgh, Pa., and Mrs. Effie J. Woods of 
Boise, Idaho and 2 step daughters, Mrs. H. Christenson of Algona, Iowa and Mrs. 
Anna M. D. Agusta, of Vallejo, Calif. also survive. 
Funeral services under direction of O'Donnell Funeral Home, Mojave, Calif. were 
held at 11:00 a.m. today (Thursday) at the PCB Recreation Hall in Boron. Officiant 
was Rev. Clell Horton pastor of the Boron Baptist Community church.
He was laid to rest in Jerome Cemetery, Jerome, Idaho.
