Jan. 24, 1937 — Aug. 4, 2004
A graveside funeral service will be held on 
Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Arvin 
Cemetery for Tehachapi resident Ronald Vernon 
Price, 67, who passed away at home on Aug. 4.
Mr. Price was born Jan. 24, 1937, in Wilburton, 
Okla., to Harry and Ethel Price. In 1942 he and 
his family moved to Arvin, where he attended 
local schools, graduating from Arvin High School. 
He married his wife of 48 years, Mildred Casey, 
on Jan. 5, 1956, in Lamont. They moved to 
Tehachapi in 1961, where Mr. Price was 
employed as an electrician at Cal Portland 
Cement, retiring after 25 years. 
Before his illness, Mr. Price loved fly fishing and 
enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the First 
Baptist Church.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife,  Mildred Price of 
Tehachapi; son Glen Price of Tehachapi; 
daughters Vickie Porter and her husband, David, 
of Oklahoma and Terry Barnett and her 
husband, Joe, of Tehachapi; grandchildren Kasey 
Bishop, Wayne Sullivan, Matthew Porter, 
Amanda Wilson, Mason Price, Kassandra Price 
and Claighton Price; great-grandchildren Hailey, 
Tyler, Travis, Tanner and Aiden; and sisters Lois 
Beechly and her husband, Robert, of Rosamond 
and Carol Mangum of San Diego.
Reverend Tom Allred will officiate at the service. 
Wood Family Funeral Service handled the 
arrangements.
