Pullen, in a Bakersfield Hospital, was sadly passed around, for "Arrowhead Jack" as Pullen was called because of the hundreds of arrowheads he carved from the famous Obsidian deposits over Little Lake way had become a character in the desert districts. Some of the arrowheads were so small that ten of them could easily be placed on a penny. The larger spear heads were hung in the Desert Museum in the collection owned by the late Kent Knowlton. Mr. Pullen had resided in the Rand district at intervals over a twenty year span, and will be missed by the old timers. He was buried in Long Beach.
