Source Unknown; Date Unknown Hundreds attend Ramirez Memorial CALIFORNIA CITY — As hundreds of mourners gathered several local clergymen offered words of consolation to the family and friends of the Loreto Ramirez family. Loreto "Joey," wife Katrina and their three young sons Kristian, 3, Necoalo, 2, and infant Austin perished in a fire on December 30. More than 225 people crowded the church for "Tuesday's Memorial service and family members spoke of the love and devotion that was so evident among the young family. Several members of the Ramirez family spoke during the services including Adam Ramirez who characterized his older brother as "the man of the house" while they were growing up, Ramirez was unsuccessful in attempts to rescue the family from the burning mobile home. Ramirez worked for Scientific Commercial Systems Corporation, a subcontractor at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. Director of SCSC Ken Szalai said. "Joey's family can be proud of the patriotic work he has done." Szalai expressed the mood of fellow employees in his somber message on behalf of the United States government Reverend Clifford J. Carter pastor at Emmanuel Christian Center closed the services by chal- lenging those in attendance to remember the Ramirez family in a positive way by loving one an- other.
