Mojave Desert News; Date Unknown Scott Randleman remembered as man of God and family by Suzan Maclsaac, MDN Contributing Writer ROSAMOND — Scott Randleman was known as a "very Godly man, no one could ever said anything bad about him. He had a very quick wit and a dry humor. He was friendly, very loving and sincere. He was also very giving and he put his family first only after his love for God. On goes Sue Ogden's recount of her brother's life which ended suddenly last week at the age of 45. Known as a strong Christian family man and the youngest elder at the Wayside Chapel in 15 years, Ogden continues that "Scott's Christian gifts included hospitality and discernment, which earned him a reputation as a very wise man." Born in Mojave on May 27, 1945, Randleman was raised in Rosamond until his sophomore year in high school. He was brought up in and met his future wife Sandy at the Wayside Chapel when it was founded in the "little adobe building on Diamond St." With his parents, Randleman moved away briefly during high school only to return to Rosamond to complete his education at AV College. At this time, he and Sandy started dating and were married a few years later on June 25,1977 at Wayside Chapel. At his passing, Randleman had been employed at Downey Savings & Loan in Lancaster for four years. A lover of the outdoors, his hobbies included camping, snow and water skiing, computers, reading and photography. Aside from being an Elder of Wayside Chapel, Randleman was also a Bible study leader, Sunday School teacher and director. His duties as an elder included visitation, teaching and counseling. He also served as Wayside Chapel treasurer at one time. Randleman went home to be with Christ on Nov. 9. He leaves wife Sandy, children Leslie, 16 and Steven, 13, sister and brother-in-law Sue and Jerry Ogden, brother Rich and wife Marcy Randleman and brother Patrick Randleman (all of Rosamond) and parents Jack and Pat Randleman of Mariposa.
