Source Unknown; Date Unknown Nov. 18 1925 - July 16, 2004 A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery Westside for Lonnie Ray Raulston, 78, who passed away in Tehachapi on July 16, 2004. Born in Texas, Lonnie and his wife Judy lived in the Arvin area before moving to Tehachapi in 1959. Lonnie was employed at Monolith Cement Plant as a Pack House Foreman for 19 years. He then went to work as a custodian for the Tehachapi Unified School District, retiring after 15 years of service. Lonnie was an avid Nascar race fan and a member of the 'Kelcy's Early Morning Coffee Club'. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Vickie Raulston; daughter, Janell Slattery; and daughter and son-in-law, Shalona and Steve Pendley, all of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Travis, Stephanie Marie, Marissa, Kristyn, Rachael, and Stephanie Nicole; sister, Velma Harris, of Mariposa; brother Alton Raulston of Clovis, and many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Raulston in 1998. Chaplain Ed Holton of Hoffman Hospice will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the American Lung Association of Kern County or Hoffman Hospice, Lancaster. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
