Funeral services were held for well known Tehachapi resident O.J. "Judy" Raulston, 
68, who passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on November 26.
Judy was born August 13, 1930 in Colorado to Jasper and Stella Bustos. She lived in 
the Arvin area before moving to Tehachapi in 1959. She worked at several local 
restaurants and the Golden. Hills Country Club as a waitress, before retiring from 
Kelcy's Restaurant in 1992.
Judy was a very talented crafter, and enjoyed working puzzles and quilting. For 
more than 30 years she was a member of the Tehachapi Bowling League.
Judy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lonnie Raulston of Tehachapi; son and 
daughter-in-law, Chuck and Vickie Raulston of Bakersfield; daughter, Janell Slattery 
of Tehachapi, and daughter and son-in-law, Shalona and Steve Pendley of 
Bakersfield; grandchildren, Travis, Stephanie Marie, Marissa, Kristyn, Rachael, and 
Stephanie Nicole; mother, Stella Bustos of Huntington Beach; sisters, Mary Huntsman 
and husband Elmer, Rita Menaldino, Lorraine Herrera and husband Marshall, and Inez 
Munoz and husband Bob; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Tehachapi Public Cemetery, Westside. In lieu of flowers, donations 
may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Association or the American Lung 
Association of Kern County. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
