All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Source Unknown; 27 Mar 2003 Harold Rick Reichley was born in Pennsylvania in 1924 and died in Lancaster March 12, 2003. He was born with a serious heart defect and had many illnesses, but was funny and cheerful. He adored his wife of 37 years, Patricia and his five children, 10 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. He was a very talented musician who played professionally for years. He also sold real estate and worked for Mojave Unified School District. He received his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army and moved to California, buying his first home in California City in August of 1959 and never left here again. While in the army Rick played with three different marching bands and one orchestra and received recommendations for his contributions. Rick is survived by his wife Patricia, children, Valerie (Bill) Para, Beverly (Jay) Davis, Julie Hardman, Dean (Deborah) Hardman, two brothers, Richard E. Reichley of Maryland and Fred J. Reichley of Wisconsin. He was predeceased by a first wife, two brothers, a sister and his eldest daughter. He has 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at California City Community Church in California City at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2003. Please say a prayer for him and pray for peace.
