Murder, Suicide Shocks Tehachapi  
Tragedy struck once more last Saturday in Tehachapi, this time in the ranch home 
of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Reisinger, who were victims of a murder and suicide, 
Reisinger having apparently taken his own life after fatally shooting his wife, and 
all over an argument which developed when the couple received a reduced pension 
check.	
Sheriff's Sgt. A. P. Strassner who was called on the case, said he answered a 
telephone call from Reisinger who announced] he had killed his wife, and that 
would find him dead, too, on their arrival. Officers arrived to find Reisinger dying 
and his wife dead with two bullet wounds in her body. 
A double funeral service was held Wednesday morning, Oct. 25, at the Community 
Church in Tehachapi with the O'Donnell Funeral Home in charge. The bodies were 
shipped to Cloverdale, Calif., for burial.
