Source Unknown; Date Unknown Jerry Herman Rex, Sr., a resident of Palmdale, CA passed away of a heart attack on June 16, 2000, at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, CA. He was born in Dewey, Oklahoma on July 3, 1938, and had previously resided in San Diego, CA. He was a manager and for eleven years he was a truck driver, and had in earlier years, been a race car driver at El Cajon Speedway. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He also attended religious services at Mojave Assembly of God. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty Rex; son Jerry Rex, Jr., both of Palmdale, CA; daughter Leslie Rex, son-in-law Todd Smith, grandchildren Shane Ryan Lilly, Courtney Smith, and Jacob Smith, all of Mojave, CA; brother Donald Rex of Elk Grove, CA; and by many other loving family members and friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 21 at the Mojave Assembly of God in Mojave, CA by Rev. Grant Frye. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed dearly.
