Born May 27, 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on August 26, 2003. 
A long-time resident of California City, John is survived by his wife Carol 
of California City, father, John Rhodes Sr., three sons, John Rhodes III, 
and Stephen Rhodes of California City, and Kenneth Rhodes of Louisiana; 
two daughters Candice Tharp of Florida and Sandra Alack of Louisiana. 
In addition John is survived by his loving daughter-in-laws Jill Rhodes 
and Bobbie Rhodes of California City. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren. 
He is also survived by his sister Bonnie Grimes of Wyoming, brothers, Walter 
Rhodes of Paso Robles, and Phillip Rhodes of Tehachapi.
He will be remembered as a good husband, loving father and grandfather.
