Source Unknown; 5 Sep 1940 Funeral Services Held For Randsburg Miner Funeral services were held in Randsburg on Saturday at 4 p. m, for Harry Richardson. 72, who is said to have taken his own life in his cabin on his mining claim 4 miles southeast of Randsburg Wednesday morning, the 28th, Richardson had been in ill health for several months and had shot himself in the head with a shotgun according to Deputy Sheriff Don Brink. Deputy Coroner L. K Groomes stated that death occurred about 11:30 a. m., while Richardson apparently was alone In his cabin. Mr. Rlchardson is reported to have been a resident of the Randsburg area for 43 years and to have been living in the United States for more than 60 years having originally come here from England. He is survived by a niece, Mrs. Everett Bullis of Los Angeles. Funeral arrangements were directed by the Mojave Funeral Home in the Randsburg Community Church. Interment followed in the Johannesburg cemetery.
