All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Source Unknown; Date Unknown Violet Evelyn Rudisil, 89, passed away on October 24 at her residence in Tehachapi. Mrs. Rudisil was born in Belt, Montana on September 8, 1909 to her parents Charles Holmes who was born on the Oregon Trail and Obedia Odegard Holmes of Norway. During World War II and for several years following the war, Mrs. Rudisil worked in the defense effort by being a rivetor and mechanic for Douglas Aircraft. She was married on November 22, 1950 to Claude W. Rudisil in Hollywood. They had lived in the Tehachapi area for 25 years. Mrs. Rudisil was a member of Eastern Star for over 60 years. She was very active in the Newcomers Club. She was a very enthusiastic golfer and played in many golf tournaments. She was an excellent golfer and the recipient of many golf trophies. Mrs. Rudisil is survived by her husband of 48 years, Claude Rudisil; daughter, Fairlee Winfield of Scottsdale, Arizona; son Walter Winfield of Atascadero; and eight grandchildren. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the cremation arrangements.
