Source Unknown; Date Unknown A memorial service for Doyle William Rymer, 60, was held in the Wood Family Funeral Ser- vice Chapel on Thursday, .October 22._Mr. Rymer passed away at his Bear Valley Springs resi- dence in Tehachapi on Saturday, October 17. Mr. Rymer was born in Benton, Tennessee on January 30, 1938 to his parents John and Carnelia Rymer. When he was 16 years of age his family moved to California and settled in Frazier Park where he lived until 1979. While there he owned and operated several automotive businesses. After moving to Bear Valley Springs he was again the owner of a business called T&D Con- crete Pumping. He was in this phase of the construction business for a period of 20 years. Mr. Rymer was married to Diane Horseman in Virginia City, Nevada on May 1, 1981. Together they enjoyed the outdoors and hiking in the Sequoias. He also liked to fish and garden. However, his greatest love was following NASCAR activities. He had participated in stock car racing himself. Mr. Rymer is survived by his wife, Diane of Bear Valley Springs; sons, Barren Rymer and wife, Cindy and their four children of Bakersfield, Trent Rymer of Gorman; daughters, Desiree Dunn and husband, Bennie and their four children of Tehachapi, Rondi Ortiz and her four children of Bakersfield; step-son, Jerry Romie of Chatsworth; mother, Carnelia Osburn of Tehachapi; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva L. Sturges in 1985. The Reverend Jerry McCullah of First Baptist Church officiated at the service.
