He was born on Nov. 16, 1936 in Mississippi to Paul and Edith Prather. For 25 years, Ronald worked in the movie industry as a very talented costume/wardrobe designer, "dressing the stars." He was responsible for the costumes worn in "The King and I," many Rita Hayworth movies, the Perry Mason series and a host of others. He retired to Tehachapi, residing in Bear Valley for 15 years before recently moving to Bakersfield. Ronald is survived by his mother, Edith Miller of Mississippi; sister, Jane Lutz; niece, Terry Sutton and her husband Phillip, all of Southhaven, Miss.; and many lifelong friends.
