Source Unknown; Date Unknown June 28, 1918 – July 20, 2004 Peter Paul Sabolewski, 86, was born June 28, 1918, in Passaic, N.J., and passed away on July 20 in Tehachapi. Pete served in the United States Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He married his loving wife, Louise, on Aug. 7, 1945, in Sand Springs, Okla. Pete and his wife moved to California, residing in Tehachapi for 24 years. He was employed for 35 years in the aerospace industry as a mechanic. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Tehachapi Post #5948. Pete is survived by his wife, Louise Sabolewski of Tehachapi; children, Paula Jean Cerda of Henderson, Nev., Sharon Elaine Lynch and Steven Brent Sabolewski, both of Tehachapi, Mary Ann Walker and husband Mark of Apple Valley and Michael Alan Sabolewski of Indiana; seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Pete will be missed tremendously. He was loved by his family. His grandchildren and great- grandchildren will miss him and never forget their very special grandpa. A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 22 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5948. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the cremation arrangements.
