All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Tehachapi News – 5 May 2004 May 26,1918 - April 27, 2004 Ruth Virginia Sagers, 85, passed away in Bakersfield on April 27. She had been a resident of the Tehachapi area for the past 25 years. She and her husband, Dee Sagers, moved to Tehachapi from the Lomita-San Pedro area to enjoy their retirement years. They truly loved the beauty of their mountain community. Mrs. Sagers was a lady with many interests, particularly gardening. She was a member of the Fushia Society and loved flowers of all types. She was an extraordinary cook and enjoyed preparing dishes for her family. She had many friends and took the time to be a "good friend." She was devoted to her family, her daughter's best friend and a loving and doting grandmother. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Trina Hoge and husband Daniel of Tehachapi; grandchildren, Danny Hoge, Kerry Ann Hoge and Brandon Hoge; great-grandchild, Griffin Anderson, all of Tehachapi; brother, Richard Randle and wife Maxine of Victorville.
