Salas of Mojave, California passed away after a long-term illness in Tarzana, California on April 17, 2004. She was a homemaker and had lived in Mojave for 45 years with her husband, Luis F. Salas. She was born to Jose and Alejandra Gonzalez on February 4, 1928 in Sanger, California. She was predeceased by her parents, and sisters Victoria Royball and Ruth Gonzalez. She is survived by her husband loving husband of 54 years Luis F. Salas, five daughters, Luan Pena of Mojave, California, Lorraine Harter of California City, California, Christina Skinner of Ridgecrest, California, Elizabeth Coronado of Kennewick, California, Naomi Salas of Bakersfield, California; brothers, Jesus Gonzalez of Fresno, California, Robert Gonzalez of Mariposa, California, Henry Gonzalez of Kingsburg, California, John Gonzalez of Fife, Washington; sisters, Angie Tafoya of Selma, California, Sally Lopez of Burlington, Washington, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Annie was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed caring for her husband and children. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, writing letters, and most of all, reading the Word of God. She had a sincere love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Annie loved to entertain her family and friends. She definitely had the spirit of hospitality. Services were held on April 21 by Pastor Rocky Vermillion at the First Baptist Church in Mojave with Burial at Mojave Cemetery. Arrangements by Stickel Mortuary, Mojave, California.
