October 29, 1951 - July 17, 2003
Robert A. Sargent, a longtime Mojave resident, passed away unexpectedly on July 17,
2003 while on a trip to Kernville to visit family members.
Robert was born in Bakersfield, California on October 29, 1951 to Oscar and Cathy 
Sargent. He worked as a pipe layer all his adult life. His career took him to many 
locations over the years. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, 
hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents. His wife, Deborah, passed away in 2002. 
Robert is survived by his two daughters, Nataly Harp, her husband, Bill and their 
children Christina and Reed of Santee, California; and Amanda Harp and her husband,
Jason, and their children, Austin and Dakota. He is also survived by his sisters 
Marilyn Fleming of Alpine, California and Barbara Ransom of Wofford Heights, 
California and Pam Sargent of Lake Isabella, California and one brother, Donnie 
Sargent of Palmdale, California.
Family members will gather at Robert's home in Mojave to celebrate his life at 
10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2003.
