Source Unknown; Date Unknown June 18, 1935-Sept. 22, 1998 Hildegard Kathrina Elisabeth Schmaderder was born in Wurzburg, Germany, on June 18, 1935. She was the mother of five children. Hilda was a tremendous animal lover. She and her husband, Peyton E. Franklin, moved to Te- hachapi where they ranched and owned horses, cattle and many other farm animals. Hilda was blessed with many talents. She graduated from the University of Melbourne, with degrees in mechanical engineering and fashion design. Hilda was also fluent in five languages. Devotion to her children caused her to sacrifice a career as an aircraft design engineer. However, she worked 15 years as a supervisor for the Department of Motor Vehicles. Hilda was also active in many organizations, including the Newcomers Club, Hildegard Schmaderder the Humane Society and Cum-mings Valley Protective Association. Hilda slipped into peaceful rest Tuesday, September 22, leaving behind her devoted husband, family and friends to celebrate her life. She will be dearly missed bv her husband and family.
