Source Unknown; Date Unknown A memorial service is being scheduled in Indian Springs, Nevada for Frankie Jane Scrogum, 68, who passed away at her Sand Canyon home on August 16. Mrs. Scrogum was born in Morris, Oklahoma on August 15, 1930. She was married to John Franklin Scrogum in Wichita Falls, Kansas on June 14, 1952. She worked for a short time as a seamstress for the Shirt Factory in Blanding, Utah. They moved to Tehachapi from Nevada in 1994. She participated in Bible study and enjoyed quilting and canning. Mrs. Scrogum is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Franklin Scrogum of Sand Canyon; sons, Dennis Scrogum and John W. Scrogum both of Indian Springs, Nevada; daughters, Brenda Tanner of Lakeland, Florida and Meta Rayburn of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren; brothers, Zack McDaniel and D.L. McDaniel of Raliston, Oklahoma, Zane McDaniel of Tennessee, Roy Gene McDaniel and Dale McDaniel of Oklahoma; sisters, Bonnie Smith of Oklahoma and Sharon Barkasey of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that contributions in Frankie's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 1523 California Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93304. Interment will be at the Montecello Cemetery in Montecello, Utah. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
