AUTO ACCIDENT KILLS SMALL GIRL
Just another little life crushed out under the wheel of a truck in an unavoidable 
accident last Sunday. Marcia Ruth Sease, 6, of Rosamond, step-daughter of Mr. 
Hunter, while riding with two other children in a truck on the Muroc road three miles 
east of Rosamond, accidentally lost her balance and fell under the rear wheels, which 
rolled over her head, instantly crushing out her young life.
The other two children in the vehicle were daughters of George Warren Seely, driver 
of the car. No blame was attached to Mr. Seely who had the sad errand of returning' 
the little girl's body to the home of her parents.

SAD ACCIDENT
Last Sunday morning a tragic accident occurred near the edge of Rosamond Dry 
Lake, three miles east of here, when a child fell from a moving truck and was 
instantly killed. Marcia Hunter, six-year-old daughter of Mrs. L C. Hunter, with two. 
Playmates were riding to the lake bed, from where clay is being hauled. Some rough 
road caused the child to lose her balance. The, truck was driven by Mr, George 
Seely, who made a frantic effort to grasp the girl before she fell. Monday afternoon 
Coroner Houze questioned the witnesses and absolved Mr. Seely from all blame,
Services will be held on Saturday, March 6, at 3 p. m. from the Lancaster Mortuary 
and interrment will take place in the Lancaster cemetery.

(Transcriber's Note: There is no explanation in this or subsequent papers explaining 
the name inconsistency in the two articles. I relied on the California Death Index for 
the name. Hunter is not listed.)
