Source Unknown; 21 May 1942 FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JOE SEIDL Funeral services for Joseph Seidl who died at Bakersfield hospital where he had been taken for treatment, on May 14, were held in the Community Congregational Church on Sunday afternoon last with the Rev. W. Judson Oldfield officiating. Mr. Seidl was born at Landham, Neb., on November 22, 1881 and at the time of his death was aged 60 years five months and 22 days. Coming to California in the early days of nearby settlements Mr. Seidl spent many years in and around Randsburg engaged in the mining profession, later moving to Superior, Ariz., and the last years of his life were spent in and around Mojave. Nothing is known of any of his surviving relatives Joe Seidl was of a generous nature and was always one of the first to help his fellowman. His passing is mourned by a host of friends. Active pallbearers were C. J. Fischer, Mark Brown, W. A. Webb, Jack Pengilley, Gus Cherosis and MORE
