Boron Resident Dies
Mrs. Stella May Slack, 321 John St., Boron resident for 5 years passed away 
July 31 in that town She is survived by 13 children, Thomas C., Dale Verne, Mrs 
Sally Lyon and Mrs. Vera Vauer all of Boron; Mrs. Rose Taylor, Inglewood; Mrs. 
Nora Caldwell, Walter, Miller J. and Frank O. Slack , all of Meeker, Colo; Herman 
of North Bend, Oregon; Chester Scruggs, El Paso Texas and Roscoe Scruggs of 
Bremerton, Wash. There are also 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. 
Two brothers also survive Dick Miller, Lewiston, Idaho and Mat Miller, Caldwell, 
Idaho.
Mrs. Slack was born October 28, 1871 in Savannah, Missouri was laid to rest 
Aug. 2 at Mountain View Cemetery, Barstow. Rev. V Clell Horton officiated at the 
services held in the Boron Baptist Church with the O'Donnell Funeral Home 
conducting the services.
