Fatal Accident 		
Blakesley Smith Jr. 32, stationed at Edwards Air Force Base died as a result of a non 
collision accident after rolling his car: a mile east of Rosamond on the Rosamond-
Edwards road at 2 a.m. Saturday. O'Donnell ambulance took him to the Mojave 
Medical Center where he died at 11:30 p.m. 
Funeral services were held in the O'Donnell Funeral Home Thursday, October 22, 
with Rev. Stanlay H. Addison officiating. 
A veteran of the Air Force in World War II, he is survived by his wife, Barbara 
Louise, and a daughter Patricia Lynne, 5, both of Edwards.
