Ellen B. Smith passed away on July 22, 2001. She was a 50-year resident of Mojave, 
California.
Ellen was born July 9, 1933 in Hartford, Connecticut. She was very active in the 
community including working with the Girl Scouts, in the schools and the Mojave Friends of 
the Library.
She leaves to mourn: her husband of 49 years, Mel Smith of Mojave, CA; two daughters, Sue 
Hagner of Marietta, GA; Lyn Williams of Bakersfield, CA; one son, Harold Smith of Mojave, CA; 
five grandchildren, Wayne, Chaz, Travis, Brent and Amy; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley, 
Brian, Danny, Patrick and Raina. Ellen's father and mother preceded her in death.
Ellen was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held at Stickel Mortuary.
