L.A. Man Killed in Crash
Elliott Smith, 25, of Los Angeles, was killed on Sunday last about three miles south 
of Rosamond, when the sedan in which he was riding plowed into the rear end of a 
truck loaded with concrete. 
Driver of the auto was identified as Herbert Karskey of Los Angeles, Karskey and a 
third passenger, Harold P. Bray of Ocean Park were rushed to Lancaster Community 
Hospital in serious condition. The body of Smith was taken to the Mumaw Mortuary 
in Lancaster.
