All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Daily Press; 2/26/2008 Virginia Marie Cochran passed away on Feb. 21, 2008. She was 86. She was born April 1, 1921, in Provo, Utah, to parents, Paul Torres and Rosa Stamps. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to sew and in her later years occupied her time writing poems and her life history. She lived in Hesperia since 1961. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Billy Boyce Cochran. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Torres Jr., and Paul Dale Torres; one sister, Rosa Stamps; sons Larry Albert Reed and Thomas Eugene Reed; and first husband, Glenn E. Reed. She is survived by one sister Rhoda Lee Stamps; and her children Alvin Dale Reed, Robert Joseph Reed, James Leroy Reed, Donald Glenn Reed, Rose Mary Reed, and Francis Alison Reed. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. A memorial service is to be held at 2 p.m. today at Victor Valley Memorial Park Chapel, 15609 11th Street, Victorville. Victor Valley Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
