Hirsche, 82, of Redding died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding. Private services will be held. Born Nov. 3, 1923, in Stirling, Alberta, he moved to Susanville in 1970 and to Shasta County in 1990. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and owned Leslie's Jewelry Store in Susanville. Survivors include wife Dorothy; sons Robert of Sheridan, Wyo., and Curtis of Susanville; daughter Shirley Plumhof of Burney; brothers Jay and Reed, both of Alberta; sister Rita Williams of Alberta; four grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
