"Big Bear Grizzly" Thursday, March 23, 2006

Janet Lynn Verburg Hobbs 26, passed Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in San Bernardino. 
She was a graduate of Chino High School and Cal Poly Pomona and was a teacher 
with the Ontario Montclair School District. She was born Aug. 5, 1979, in 
Orange, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Alec and her week-old daughter, Emily Adele 
Hobbs; parents, Rick and Susan Verburg; sister and brother-in-law, Kristin and 
Bret Freeman; grandparents, Don and Kathy Verburg and Bob and Betty Pierce, 
formerly of Big Bear; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Patti Hobbs; 
brother-in-law Matthew Hobbs; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, 
cousin and friend. Many memories of her with her parents and grand-parents in 
Big Bear, she will be greatly missed.

The memorial service was held March 18 at the First Methodist Church of Ontario.
