All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Daily Press; 2/24/2008 Hazle Jacoby, 83, of Victorville, died Feb. 20, 2008. She was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Louisa County, Va. to parents Earl and Grace Norton. She retired from civil service at Norton AFB, San Bernardino and had previously worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in the Washington, D.C. area. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and reading. We will treasure the many items she made for us. She will always be remembered as a loving, kind mother, sister and friend. Her family was very important to her and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Paul; daughters, Barbara Morris and Linda Lange; son-in-law, Dwain; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Scott, Noreen, Priscilla, Paul and Ruth; four great-grandchildren, Hailey, Madalyn, Chase, and Naomi; five siblings and their spouses, Raymond and Jeanne Norton of Gordonsville, Va, Esther and Ed Waugh of Richmond, Va, Jeannette "Nettie" and Pete Powell of Port Orange, Fla., Mildred Knight of Hesperia, and Joyce and Wayne Deane of Charlottesville, Va. Hazle was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Norton, who passed away last Fall in Charlottesville, Va. Special thanks go to Hesperia Senior Campus, Hospice and Home Instead for providing wonderful care. Services at 2 p.m., March 8, 2008 at Victor Valley Mortuary, 15609 11th St., Victorville.
