All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Daily Press; 2/19/2008 Iris L. Johnson, 60, passed away Feb. 13, 2008, at her home in Hesperia. Iris was born Sept. 26, 1947 in North Sacramento. Her family later moved to Southern California where she attended Gardena High School, and was known to cruise the streets of Whittier Blvd in her youth. Iris met her second husband, Jim, in Bellflower. They moved to the High Desert in 1986, and have lived here since. During her residence in Hesperia, she worked at several locations including, Del's Distributing and Heilig Meyers. Along her way she made countless friends and was known for her jovial attitude, and the immediate kinship she had with everyone. Iris is survived by her husband, Jim Johnson, and son; Justin Johnson; her brother Ken Haines; her son Randy Brown; her son Robbie Brown; and her son Don Brown and his wife Yoshanne Nelson; as well as her grandchild, Devon Brown. A viewing will take place at 1 p.m. Feb. 20, immediately followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Desert View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 11478 Amargosa Road, Victorville.
