EVERTZ-In this city. Dec. 31, 1907, at the residence, corner Clay avenue and 
Twenty-eight street, John P. Evertz, husband of Louise Evertz; a native of 
Germany, aged 76 years.
	Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Johnson & 
Connell’s chapel. D and Seventh streets, at 2 o’clock p.m., Friday, Jan. 3. 
Interment at Mt. Hope cemetery.

FINDS OLD MAN DEAD IN YARD
	John P. Evertz, aged 76 years, dropped dead yesterday afternoon in the 
yard back of his house at Twenty-eight street and Clay avenue. His wife saw him 
lying on the ground and was going up to him found he was dead. Coroner Morgan 
was notified and the body was moved to the undertaking rooms of Johnson & 
Connell. The deceased was a native of Germany and lived in San Diego for the 
last 20 years.
