JEWELL PASSED AWAY Wife of Walter Jewell Died Yesterday Morning Here After Long Years of Patient Suffering Mrs. Emma J. Jewell, wife of Walter Jewell and sister-in-law of Col. Fred Jewell of the Citizens Savings Bank, died at 9 o’clock yesterday morning at her home, No. 3740 Fifth street. She was born in Illinois 46 years ago and had been a resident of San Diego for the past three years. For several years she sufferer from various forms of kidney disease. Finally ending in Bright’s disease. She was a member of the First M.E. church of this city and led a patient Christian life to the last. Her great regret was in being obliged to leave her husband, parents and sisters. Her father, Henry Marsh and mother Mrs. S.A. Marsh reside in Richmond, Illinois. Her sisters, Mrs. Frank Johonneit, Mrs. Earl Barnard and Miss Harriet Marsh also reside at Richmond, but Miss Marsh was with her to the end here. The funeral will be conducted at the late residence at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Rev. A.M. Gibbons of the First M.E. church officiating. The interment will be at Mt. Hope.
