SMITH-In this city, at the residence No. 1701 National avenue, January 23, 
1908, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, mother of William C. Smith of St. Louis, Mo., J.T. 
Smith of Burlington, Iowa, Mrs. Edgar Shepherd of San Louis Obispo, Cal., J.S. 
Smith of Los Angeles, Cal. and Joseph B. Smith of San Diego; a native of 
Kentucky, aged 87 years, 4 months and 23 days.
	Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Johnson & 
Connell’s chapel. D and Seventh streets, at 2 o’clock p.m. today. Rev. W.B. 
Hinson officiating. Interment at Greenwood cemetery.
