Cynthia Padula CHICO- Cynthia Sue Calzoni Padula died peacefully on February 6, 2008 at her home in Chico. She was born July 31, 1952 in McCloud, CA and raised in Dunsmuir, CA. She will be remembered for her sweet and gentle personality, her love of family and the love for the children and people she worked with. Cynthia was a loving and caring wife and mother. Continuing to honor her life are her mother, Gloria McIntyre of Dunsmuir; her husband, William Padula Jr.; sons, Michael and Mitchell all of Chico. Her brothers, David Calzoni (Lorrie) of Roseville, Brian Calzoni (Kimberly) of Castella, CA and J.R. McIntyre (Peggy) of Dunsmuir; a sister, Kim Calzoni of Dunsmuir; mother-in-law, Adela Padula of Dunsmuir; sisters-in-law, Vivian (Jack) Leahy Sr. of Dunsmuir and Elaine (Craig) Payton of Mt Shasta, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Leno Calzoni; stepfather, Gary McIntyre Sr. and father in-law, William Padula Sr. Cynthia worked as a childcare provider at In Motion Fitness for nine years. She enjoyed working with her colleagues and taking care of her "babies." Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home and a vigil will be held at 6 p.m. A funeral mass will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church in Chico. A reception will follow the mass at the church. Graveside services will take place 2 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 at Mt. Shasta Memorial Park. Cynthia was very active with the Relay for Life Cancer Walk and was looking forward to this year's event. Now her family will be walking for her.
