Appeal Democrat, March 21, 1984, Pg A-9 Longtime Member of Horse Show Unit Dies Leila May Havens, 93, of Marysville, the eldest showing member of the American Horse Show Association, died yesterday in Driftwood Convalescent Hospital. She was born Jan. 14, 1891, In Paradise, but had lived in this area 93 years. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Moore and Annette Moon Moore, early settlers in the Sutter Buttes. She is survived by two daughters, Bertha White of Marysville and Hilda Fuller of Sacramento; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Sutter Cemetery, with Rev. Norman Mowery, Marysville First United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call at Ullrey Memorial Chapel from 1 to 8 p.m. tomorrow.
