An area resident since 1946, she was born Jan 22, 1906, in Arkansas. She was a member of the Yuba City Women's Club, Literacy Guild, Yuba-SutterRiding Club, Yuba City First methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Phoenix, Ariz. Survivors include a son, Harland Howard of Yuba City; three grandchildren, Dorothea Elizabeth Howard, David Harlan Howard and Butch Harland Howard, all of Yuba City; and a great- grandson. She was the widow of the Hershel H. Howard. Graveside seervices will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sutter Cemetery with Rev. Edgar Nelson, pastor of the Yuba City First Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Memorials to Faith Christian School, P.O. Box 1690, Yuba City, have been suggested by the family.
