Howard, 81, of Live Oak, who died Sept. 12, 1988, at his home. He was a native of Clay Center, Neb., and had been a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area 65 years. He was a retired tractor drover. He sis survived by his wife, Sarah Howard of Live Oak; three daughters, Myra Summy of West Sacramento, Joann Rider of Yuba City and Clarice Correll of Sutter; four brothers, Norman Howard, Oliver Howard and Beach Howard, all of Yuba City, and John Howard of Paradise; a sister, Roberta Gray of Yuba City; 12 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren. Services are scheduled Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sutter Cemetery with the Rev. Harry Vise, pastor emeritus of the Marysville First United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorials to a favorite charity have been suggested by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
