Mabel Sarah Howard, 94, of Yuba City died yesterday in Sutter County hospital, where she
had been hospitalized since undergoing surgery for a broken hip. A native of York, Neb.,
she had lived in Yuba City since the 1920's. She was a 27-year member of the Royal 
Neighbors of America and a member of LeMont Council, degree of Pocahontas. Survivors 
include a daughter, Roberta Gray of Yuba City; six sons, Wayne Howard of Tualatin, Wash.,
John Howard of Chico, Clarence Howard of Sutter and Norman, Oliver and Beach Howard, 
all of Yuba City; 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. 
Funeral arrangements are pending at Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
