Appeal Democrat Monday May 15, 1944 pg 3 col 5 Charles Littlejohn Sutter Native, Dies Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Tuesday at the Ullrey memorial chapel for Charles Edward Littlejohn, 77, of Manteca, a member of a pioneer Sutter County family. Littlejohn whose death occurred in a Stockton hospital, Sunday, was born in Yuba City but has lived many years in Manteca. His father, James Littlejohn came from Iowa in 1859 and settled in the Slough district of Sutter. Helen Butler Littlejohn, his mother was a charter member of the Yuba City Eastern Star Chapter. Sadie Littlejohn, his wife, died a few months ago. His sons are Dewey, Yuba City; Donald, Oakland; and J. K. Littlejohn, Manteca. He is the brother of James, Chester, George; Mesdames Julia Green, John Cope of Yuba City, Mrs Bert Cooley, Marysville and William Littlejohn, Oregon. interment is in Sutter Cemetery
