Copy of the will:
April 3, 1930
I, Mary E. Josselyn, of Oxnard, California of the age of 81 years, do make the following will,
1. I give a bequeath to Warren Smith, my great grandson, the sum of $500.00 and the receipt of his mother for such sum shall be a sufficient release for my executrix hereinafter named.
2. I give a bequeath to Nedreth Carner my seal skin coat and my diamond ring.
3. I give a bequeath to Nedreth Carner one cut glass bottle and to Maud Rudolph one cut glass bottle.
4. I give and bequeath my watch and bracelet to Mary Elizabeth Stonebreaker.
5. I give and bequeath to Hollis Smith, my granddaughter, all of my household furniture.
6. I give and bequeath to Nedreth Carner all of my clothing.
7. I give and bequeath to Nedreth Carner the sum of $500.00.
8. I give and bequeath and devise all of the rest all of the rest a remainder of the estate of which I may die seized or possessed to Nedreth Carner and Maud Rudolph, share and share alike.
9. I nominate and appoint Bessie C. Davidson as executrix, without bonds.
10. I hereby revoke all wills heretofore made by me.

There are documents to the effect that Bessie C. Davidson refused to serve as executrix, and Nedreth Carner was therefore bonded and appointed to serve as Administrix.

Mary Elizabeth Stonebreaker, Oxnard, California
Hollis Smith, 829 1/2 34th Street; Los Angeles, California
Warren Smith, 829 1/2 34th Street; Los Angeles, California"
A document concerning the renunciation and resignation of Bessie E. Davison as executrix of Mary E. Josselyn and petition for the appointment by Nedreth Carver to be the administrix states that "the names, ages and residences of the heirs of the deceased, so far as know to your petitioner, are as follows:
Nedreth Carner, aged 39 years, the daughter of the deceased; Maud Rudolph, aged 54 years, also a daughter of the deceased; that said Nedreth Carner is a resident of the City of Oxnard, County of Ventura, State of California and that the said Maud Rudolph is a resident of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California. Nedreth Carner also states that Mary E. Josselyn died on or about the 18th day of April, 1930, at Oxnard, Ventura, California.

A notice of Time and Place appointed for Proving Will of Mary E. Josselyn, and Hearing application of Nedreth Carner for issuance of Letter of Administration, gives the date of proving of the will as: 16th June 1930.
